Practice SAT and ACT Exam for College Bound Students

 College Bound Students – Don’t Miss This Opportunity!!

Did you miss taking the PSAT or PLAN tests this fall?  Are you a college bound student who wants to take another practice test to enhance your skills when taking the real exam duirng your junior year?

 Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior Students Welcome!!

San Juan Hills High School and Capistrano Unified are proud to partner with Revolution Prep to offer mock/practice SAT and ACT exams at the comfort of your own school!!   Taking the practice exams allows students to experience the SAT or ACT in one sitting, thereby allowing them to discover which test is best suited to their skills. 
 
Experience a simulated testing environment
  • Preview what the real tests will be like
  • Estimate your actual score without affecting your college record
  • Determine which test (SAT or ACT) you may perform better on
  • Save time and money by streamlining your testing plans
Students will receive an on-line score report with detailed performance analysis, including personalized feedback on the essay. You will also have the option to schedule a one-on-one score report consultation.

What to bring to the exam:
  1. Student ID
  2. Confirmation email from Revolution Prep
  3. Several #2 pencils
  4. Calculator
Parents are invited to join their students at the RESULTS PRESENTATION,  where you will learn how to interpret your Revolution score report, and receive general information on standardized testing options for preparation. 
 
Results Presentation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the SJHHS Theater Conference Room. (You will need to print your score report and bring it to the Results Presentation).

SAT II Subject Tests for College Admissions

10th* and 11th grade students who are currently enrolled in biology, chemistry, conceptual physics, AP Biolgy, AP Chemistry, World History, US History, Spanish III, AP Spanish IV, French III, Algebra II/Trig, Algebra II/Trig Accelerated,  Pre-calulus, Honors PreCalculus, AP Calculus or Intro to Statistics are encouraged to register for the SAT II Subject tests.  The SAT II Subject tests are 1 hour exams administered by the College Board that test a students knowledge in specific subjects.  Those students from the class of 2011 (current juniors) planning on applying to the University of California will be required to submit the results of two SAT Subject tests in two different curricular areas.   Many private/independent universities will also require SAT II Subject tests. 

*10th Grade students can take  SAT II subject tests, however, starting with the class of 2012, subject tests will not be required for the University of Caifornia.  Students can still submit results, but they will not be requiired as part of the application process.  **IMPORTANT!!, Many private universities still require the subject tests for students applying from the class of 2012.
