National Commission for Cooperative Education (NCCE)  www.co-op.edu The NCEE is pleased to announce and sponser its Eigth Annual National Co-op Scholarship Program.  The National Commission will award 170 merit co-op scholarships of $6,000 each, for a total renewable value of $4,200,000. 

Miss Teenage California Scholarship Program www.missteenageca.com  For 31 years the Miss Teenage California Program's focus has been the education of our states young women. Each year thousands in college scholarships and prizes are awarded to outstanding young women from every corner of our state.

The Disneylnad Resort Scholarship Program www.disneyland.com/publicaffairs  (Select Education Programs then Youth Scholarships).   "Celebrating Community Service" this program reinforeces the legacy of Disneyland Resort and its committment to community support while enhancing and providing opportunities for education advancement. 

The California PTA Scholarship www.capta.org The California State PTA offers Graduating High School Senior Scholarships to acknowledge the achievements of high school seniors for volunteer service in their school and community.  Applicants must be a California residents attending a high school with a PTA/PTSA unit in good standing.   Applicants must be a member of their school PTA/PTSA and must provide a copy of their current membership card. 

2010 Nordsrom Scholarship Opportunity for JUNIORS  This scholarshp is open to current high school juniors who reside in LA and Orange County.  To be eligible, students must: 1. Have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of at least 2.7;  2. Be a high school junior; 3. Have participated in community or volunteer activities; 4. Be planning to apply for financial assistance to attend college; 5. Eagle Community Credit Union - High school juniors and seniors as well as college freshmen and sophomores eligible to apply!  Applicants must be an Eagle Credit Union member or a child, legal dependent, or grandchild of a member.  If you're not a member and would like to apply, simply visit www.eaglecu.org/join to join.  Eagle Community Credit Union will award one $5,000 scholarship and five $1,000 scholarships to deserving students in 2010.  You'll find everything you need - from an application to rules - at www.eaglecu.org/scholarships, or visit one or their branches for more information.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund  Scholarship available for graduating high school seniors and students in all levels of college.  Open to all students enrolling for the first time at a college or university as a full-time student.  Candidates must have a GPA of 3.3 to 4.0 and demonstrate leadership skills and financial need. Future Scholarships to Watch

CSUF Future Scholars was established by the CSU Scholarship Program in an effort to increase college participation of disadvantaged students.  Each year at California State University Fullerton, a total of fifty incoming freshmen and first year transfer students are selected as scholarship recipients and are awarded $1000.  Students may pick up an application in the SJHHS Guidance Dept.

The Elks National Foundation  Most Valuable Student and Legacy Awards are available to outstanding high school seniors who are U.S. citizens and have a financial need..  This year's applications are due on November 2, 2009, to the Lodge nearest the applicant’s home. CAPISTRANO UNIFIED MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (CUMA) SCHOLARSHIP  CUMA offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors.  Depending upon the applicant pool, awards may be from $100 to $1,000.  Applications will be available in Guidance.

MetroPCS Community Scholars Program  MetroPCS, a wireless service provider, yearly awards $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors for college or university programs. In addition, one well deserving student will be awarded a national scholarship of $25,000!  http://www.metropcs.com/scholarship/
